Brasserie Thiriez

Established in 1996 within a historic farmhouse-brewery in the village of Esquelbecq, Brasserie Thiriez is a pioneer of the craft beer revival in French Flanders. Master brewer Daniel Thiriez focuses on traditional top-fermentation and long aging processes to create beers of exceptional quality. His ales are unfiltered, unpasteurized, and known for their floral notes and balanced bitterness. It is here, amidst the classic red-brick architecture of the North, that the world-famous "Etoile du Nord" was born, gaining international acclaim for its unique character. A tour of the brewery is a rich sensory and personal experience. Visitors can follow every stage of the brewing process, from malt crushing to bottling, in a passionate and welcoming atmosphere.
