About Chateau de Beaumesnil
Add to favoritesIn the heart of the Pays d'Ouche region of Normandy, discover Beaumesnil, an exceptional Baroque château, now a gourmet's haven! The Château de Beaumesnil is a magnificent example of early 17th-century architecture, with its richly decorated brick and stone façades. Explore this exceptional estate, surrounded by 4 hectares of formal French gardens, complete with a reflecting pool, all themed around gastronomy, during a fun and interactive self-guided tour. The tour focuses on the history of gastronomy and the culinary arts, and includes a gallery of famous chefs and games for all ages related to the history of food. Enjoy demonstrations and tastings of "Beaumesnil Caramels" and "Little Chefs" workshops for children on Sundays in May and June, and daily in July and August. A gourmet shop is also available. The fully furnished château also houses a collection of antique bookbindings in its library. The Flavors Trail (a large-scale puzzle and challenge trail in the 60-hectare romantic park of the château): help complete an 18th-century menu to welcome the king this evening at the Château de Beaumesnil. From July 14th, embark on a quest for Grand Duke Dimitri's treasure in a 3-hectare corn maze in the château park (a 1.5-hour adventure for friends or the whole family), and during the All Saints' Day holidays: a grand game in the château featuring the ghosts of Beaumesnil.
