The Sanctuary of Revealed Cave Art Located in Montignac-Lascaux, at the foot of the original hill, Lascaux IV (the International Centre for Cave Art) is much more than a simple replica: it is a technological and artistic marvel. Inaugurated in 2016, this complete facsimile reproduces the entire original cave for the first time with millimeter precision. Thanks to 3D scanning techniques and the talent of professional artists, every rock relief, every pigment of charcoal or ochre has been recreated to offer the exact emotion felt by the discoverers in 1940.
