About Musee du Biscuit

A Delicious Journey Through Time Nestled in a former stone stable in the heart of the Quercy region, this private museum is the fruit of the passion of the Delfour family, biscuit makers from father to son since 1920. The exhibition traces the history of the biscuit, from ancient flatbreads to modern production methods, through an eclectic collection of antique objects: carved wooden molds, old lithographed tin boxes, and unusual utensils such as the ancestor of the electric mixer. It's a place that smells deliciously of butter and sugar, where you can discover the secrets of the "Marilleine," the house's flagship specialty. The Excellence of Artisanal Craftsmanship More than just an exhibition, the museum adjoins the production workshop where, depending on the time of day, you can see the artisans at work. Here, everything is handmade, respecting traditional recipes (almond brittle, Périgord PDO walnut cakes, chestnut biscuits). The visit invariably ends with a generous tasting, allowing you to verify that the taste lives up to the history. It's a warm and welcoming family experience, emblematic of the Occitan way of life.

Tip for an even more exceptional visit.

Aim for the tasting: The visit is free (or very inexpensive depending on the season) and always ends with a tasting of the 35 specialties. It's the perfect opportunity to sample the products before buying your souvenirs in the shop, which offers "factory direct" prices.
