Chateau de Flecheres

Built in a single phase between 1610 and 1616, the Château de Fléchères is the largest castle near Lyon open to the public. What makes this historic monument truly unique is its interior decor: in 1632, the Italian painter Pietro Ricchi created a series of frescoes spanning ten rooms. These miraculously preserved wall paintings transport visitors to the world of the Italian Renaissance, featuring hunting scenes, trompe-l'œil architecture, and mythology.
